We are so impressed with Nese B. She has a beautiful personality and an amazing body, but the best part is that she is a business owner.
She has her own online store pinkcurvez.com
Her Instagram posts are such an inspiration to me and we love the community she has created.
Her posts are always inspirational and motivational.
We’ve got an exclusive interview.
Nese, do you think that for women, in particular, body confidence is still an issue?
Nese B: Yes, body confidence is still an issue with any type of body. I even get smaller-sized women that reach out to me and tell me that they wish they had the confidence that I have.
Do you feel that public perception of plus models and plus fashion has changed?
Nese B: Plus fashion has definitely changed since back in the day. Once upon a time, all our selection was basically mumu’s. And now we have the same selection as regular-size people would have.
What is your motivation for being a model/Influencer?
Nese B: Honestly, what continues to motivate me is to know how much other women look up to me and how much of an inspiration I am to them.
What do you hope will happen in the future for plus size models and their representation in the media?
Nese B: Actually, I feel as though there is a pretty good representation of plus size models currently.
What would you say is your personal style?
Nese B: My personal style is basically 2 styles, you’re gonna either catch me in tomboy attire with sneakers or you are going to catch me sexy with some skin-tight clothing.
If you could change one fashion rule, what would it be and why?
Nese B: Wear whatever TF you want!
What has been the highlight of your career so far? Did you have an “I did it” moment?
Nese B: The highlight of my career is actually when I’m in another state or anywhere, and someone walks up to me and knows who I am and tells me that they are a customer of mine.
What’s something surprising about plus-size modeling that people might not know?
Nese B: I wouldn’t even narrow it down to just plus size, I would actually say modeling period. Behind the scenes it’s really a lot of hard work, changing into up to 8 different outfits in an hour and still managing to look beautiful and exude confidence after sweating and being so hot at times at photo shoots.
How would you define the word “confidence?”
Nese B: Confidence is all in how you walk. Confidence is something people can’t deny as you step into a room, it is an attention grabber that people notice immediately. Confidence is in your mannerisms.
