Victoria Iverson is a newly published author, and her first book “Provoked” is a great success.
Victoria grew a lot on Instagram, after publishing her book. She got recommended for Ms. Curvaceous UK, which is a modeling workshop/competition for curvy women.
She dedicates a lot of time to caring for the elderly and supporting people with mental health issues.
So, we’ve got an exclusive interview.
Victoria, what is your motivation for being a model?
Victoria Iverson: My motivation for being a model is definitely to inspire other curvy women and remind them how beautiful they are in their skin.
Was it hard to fit into the industry’s idea of how a model should look?
Victoria Iverson: It’s difficult every day to fit into the industry’s idea of how a model should look. I receive a lot of hate comments but I remind myself of how beautiful my body is every day. I love looking at myself in the mirror, even on bad days. Oh and good comments always outweigh the bad, so don’t let a few bad comments break your confidence. Confidence is SEXY!
I have two main ‘I did it’ moments that was when I published my first novel and when I got through to the Ms Curvaceous UK Semi-Finals, starting in 2023!
What do you think about social media being the new model scout?
Victoria Iverson: I think it’s great that social media is the new model scout. People who don’t have the means to travel and pay for certain things can finally be recognized! Also, people who never had the confidence can be scouted and I just think that is all amazing.
What would you say is your personal style?
Victoria Iverson: I don’t particularly have a style, to be honest, I’m still actually finding myself and figuring out what suits me perfectly. I’m open to trying new styles all the time! Oh, and of course, my bank balance doesn’t reflect the person I wish to dress like haha.
If you could change one fashion rule, what would it be and why?
Victoria Iverson: I don’t believe in any fashion rules. Be you and wear whatever you feel good and confident in!
How would you define the word “confidence”?
Victoria Iverson: Confidence to me means that you know you do not need to fit into other’s standards. You can embrace all your flaws and feel good doing so. You stand tall with who you are, on the inside and out.
What advice can you give aspiring models?
Victoria Iverson: Be you, do not allow social standards to control who they want you to be. Take that step, that jump, that leap, and do that one thing you can’t stop thinking about. You only get this one life, so take every chance you get! Don’t stay inside that little comfort zone! Get yourself out there! You’ve got this beautiful!
